Land Rover TDV6 EGR delete

After countless research and development we are pleased to announce a service to completely remove the EGR from the Land Rover 2.7 TDV6 engine found in the Discovery and Range Rover Sport. EGR failure is a common occurrence on the TDV6 engine and this isn’t helped by the engine having two valves, making replacing the EGR system a costly process. Failure occurs when the dirty exhaust gasses clog up the valve causing it to stick and stay in the open position, this then starves the engine of oxygen and makes the vehicle sluggish and inefficient, in some cases the vehicle can become almost undriveable. The valves can also fail electronically when the internal motor or position sensors fail. The process

  1. The EGR Valve is firstly blanked to prevent exhaust gasses from passing through the valve and entering the intake system.
  2. The ECU is Remapped reprogramming the software to remove the EGR, this ensures that the ECU does not recognise that there is zero flow and also ensures the Air to Fuel Ratio reading is correct. This is the most important part of the job and is vital that it’s done correctly the vehicle can also be remapped for better performance and fuel efficiency at the same time.
